In this paper, the behavior of xenon dynamic adsorption on granular activated carbon and molecular sieve 5Å adsorbers has been studied. The goal was desin and fabrication of absorber pack bed with optimized conditions. Design and implementation of experimental setup for studing effective parameters of xenon adsorption at different conditions were accomplished. To measure the xenon in the column output contains adsorbent, a chromatography apparatus equipped with a thermal conductivity detector was used. The effect of isotherm gas flow rate and temperature variations at constant flow velocity of gas on dynamic adsorption process were studied.Variables such as the length of mass transfer zone and the length of unused bed have been calculated using breakthrough curves. Langmuir model used to predict required absorber quantity and proper adsorption process by calculating adsorption capacity of absorbent.The results indicated appropriate consistency with model outputs and better adsorption performance was approved for granular activated carbon absorber.
